In Paraguay, your exterior wall isn't just a wall – it's your shield against 40°C heat. Many builders here go simple and cheap, but at Avantgarde, we're consistently committed to thermal separation.
The Principle of the "Thermal Skin"
Think of your home like a high-quality thermos flask. We build your exterior walls in three layers:
- Inner wall (18 cm): It carries your living space.
- Core (5 cm air gap): Your natural insulator.
- Outer wall (12 cm): Your solid heat protection.
Your Key Advantage: No Thermal Bridges
A thermal bridge channels heat directly from outside to inside. With a simple wall, the masonry stays hot well into the night, forcing your air conditioning to work at maximum capacity. Worse still: condensation often forms on the inside surface.
Our 5 cm air gap interrupts this flow completely. The heat stays outside, your inner wall stays dry and cool. What that means for you: a healthy indoor climate instead of a mold risk.
The Cost Logic: 10% for Eternity
Maybe you're worried that double masonry doubles the price? That's a calculation error.
Exterior walls account for only about 10–15% of the total cost of a quality build – the rest goes into foundations, roof, utilities, and interior work. We're only doubling this small line item. Your whole house becomes only about 10% more expensive overall. In return, you save significantly on monthly cooling bills and dramatically increase your home's resale value.
Did You Know?
Solid brick option? For maximum soundproofing and build quality, we can also construct the inner wall from solid bricks. More material-intensive, but offering the highest possible structural quality.
Will you lose space? Minimally. We trade a few centimeters of floor area for maximum quality of life.
What about pests? No worries. The air cavity is hermetically sealed during construction.
Is the house breathable? Yes! Thanks to the brickwork and lime plaster, the system remains vapor-permeable – your house "breathes."
Anyone who cuts corners on the wall pays for it later in electricity bills. We build for people who want to build it right, once.
