A new year is for many a blank page – for us at Avantgarde, it's a clear construction plan that we're implementing with full energy. Anyone who thinks building in Paraguay consists only of sunshine and relaxed tereré1 breaks probably never had red clay on their boots. We're not starting 2026 with vague resolutions, but with the unshakeable goal of raising the standard for quality and reliability in our area a little higher every day.
Behind us are weeks that have challenged us as a team, but our compass is clearly aligned: where Avantgarde is on it, uncompromising quality must be in it. We therefore started the year with a consistent decision: we parted ways with two teams that didn't carry our high standard of precision in their hearts. Why do we take this path, even if it's sometimes rocky? Because the trust of our customers is sacred to us. A happy homeowner who moves into their new home with a secure feeling is for us the only true measure of success.
That clear lines ultimately always lead to the goal was recently shown to us by a special project. Sometimes the dynamics on a construction site stall – in this case, it was a misunderstanding in payment processes. We decided on a short, consistent construction stop to reset the course. And lo and behold: the message got through, the misunderstandings were cleared up faster than the concrete dries, and the money was in the account the next day. The best part? Today the house is finished, the keys are handed over, and we're looking into the face of a satisfied customer. Sometimes it just takes this honest, determined moment for it to become a success for all sides in the end.
We're now also using this clarity internally. With our new digital "Monkey King" Wukong2, we're drilling our processes to become even more transparent and efficient for you. It's our turbo in the background so we can concentrate on what's essential: your project.
The hardest decision, however, was to currently say "no." We're booked to the rafters and refuse to trade quality for speed. Therefore, there's currently an intake stop for new customers. We want to dedicate our entire energy and attention to the people we've already given our word to. Anyone building with us deserves 100% Avantgarde – without distraction.
Yes, the intensity is high. But we know: pressure creates diamonds – or in our case: houses that last generations. We're cleaning up, strengthening our base, and looking forward to making 2026 the most stable year in our shared history. It remains dusty, it remains honest, and it remains passionate.
Stay tuned – we're building the future, brick by brick!
Tereré is a traditional cold herbal tea popular in Paraguay, made by steeping yerba mate in cold water with ice and often mixed with medicinal herbs. It's Paraguay's national drink and an important part of social culture, traditionally shared among friends and coworkers. In workplace contexts, tereré breaks are common social moments. ↩
"Wukong" (Monkey King) is a legendary figure from Chinese mythology known for magical powers, agility, and problem-solving abilities. ↩
