There's quite a bit happening on our construction site – so much that you almost need your own schedule to keep track of everything.

On the ground floor, there's almost a living feeling already: walls are painted, installations are in place, and the floors are just waiting longingly to be tiled. You could almost unpack your slippers.

On the first floor, it's similarly colorful: walls are freshly painted here too, but the screed1 is still holding out – but it should finally be poured this week.

The second floor has already gotten its plaster coat, while the third floor is currently being plastered. Here the installers have to step on it so their pipes disappear into the walls in time – otherwise it'll be: knock, knock, surprise later!

On the fourth floor, there's busy masonry work, while the roof is already growing above: the construction of the quincho2 is finished, and the roofs of the tank room and living spaces are currently being built.

Work is also starting on the elevator: parts have already been delivered and are waiting to soon be in motion. The pool is also being worked on – it's currently getting its formwork and reinforcement. So soon it'll be: swimsuit out!

And things are also progressing by leaps and bounds inside: windows, interior doors, and entrance doors have already been selected, and we're in the middle of the agony of choice with the tiles. In the penthouse apartments, it'll be particularly chic – parquet flooring3 will be installed there.

All in all: La Perla is growing and thriving – floor by floor, brick by brick. And we're already looking forward to when the construction site becomes a real home.

  1. Screed is a layer of material applied to a floor to create a smooth, level surface for the final floor covering. It typically consists of cement, sand, and water, and serves as a base for tiles, parquet, or other flooring materials. Proper curing time (typically 3-7 days) is essential before proceeding with floor installation.

  2. A quincho is a traditional South American covered outdoor area designed for cooking and social gatherings. Typically featuring a built-in grill or asado area, it serves as an extension of the living space and is central to South American social culture, particularly in Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay.

  3. Parquet flooring consists of wood pieces arranged in geometric patterns. While traditionally popular in European construction, it requires careful climate consideration in tropical regions due to humidity and temperature fluctuations. Modern engineered parquet with proper installation techniques can successfully adapt to Paraguayan climate conditions.
